Jimco Software Reviews - SWiSHmax (continued)

Documentation

One area where we'd like to see some improvement is in documentation.  We had trouble finding topics in the documentation and found other pieces of information missing.  For example, we originally believed it was not possible to freely transform text in SWiSHmax because we could not find information in the documentation on doing so.  SWiSHzone.com had to give us the information via their support system which, to their credit, they did quickly.

The documentation also tells you how to use SWiSHmax with FrontPage, but the heading is "Using SWiSH with FrontPage 2000."  This topic could have been updated to include information on later versions of FrontPage and for SWiSHmax.  With all of that said, as with any product of this kind, the most useful documentation and tutorials are on the Web, and SWiSHmax has a faithful following creating hoards of Web content that will help you get the most out of SWiSHmax.

Conclusion

SWiSHmax represents an excellent value for the features that it offers.  We did miss some features that we're used to in Macromedia Flash, but we were still quite surprised by the high-level features included in SWiSHmax at such a great price point.  At less than 100 dollars, SWiSHmax is one of the best deals we've found in software these days and we highly recommend it.

Highly Recommended
