The Face Room
All kinds of wonderful things await you in the Poser Face room shown in figure 8. This is where you can go crazy creating all kinds of characters for your Poser scenes. The Face room opens up endless possibilities in the number of characters you can create in Poser. In fact, you can even create yourself!

On the right side of figure 8, you see the Face Shaping Tool. This tool has facial morphing tools for every conceivable parameter on your face. By expanding the categories visible in figure 8, you can adjust the face so that it is exactly what you're looking for. Changes you make here are not actually applied to your figure until you click Apply to Figure button, so it's safe to experiment.
 Morph targets are an amazing feature that make extending the power of Poser easy. 
On the left side is the Photo Lineup and Texture Variation area. This area allows you to import your own texture map for the face. You can import pictures of your friends and family (or yourself!) to create a poser figure with a familiar face. You can also (as shown in figure 9) adjust variations for the texture and change ethnicity, age, gender, beard darkness, etc.

Another really cool feature of the Face room is the ability to spawn morph targets based on your changes. This means that you can make a modification on your face and then create a new parameter dial in the Pose room that adjusts that modification. Suppose, for example, that you make precise changes to several of the settings in the Face room in order to create the perfect old man face. You can export that as a morph target called "Old Man" and you'll get a new dial in the Pose room that allows you to "dial in" a specific amount of "Old Man" on subsequent figures as shown in figure 10.

In figure 10, my Old Man morph target is set to 0.200. If I adjust the morph target to a negative number, I can actually make my figure a young man again. As the dial is moved to the right, the figure ages right before my eyes! Poser includes an Age morph target in the face editor, but my morph target also alters the lip shape, the cheek position, etc. You can literally customize everything you want in a morph target. Morph targets are an amazing feature that make extending the power of Poser easy.
