There's a good reason why Ahead Software calls this product Ultra Edition. It's a whole suite of products that seems to cover everything. If you can think of an application that deals with CDs, DVDs, or media of any kind, it's likely included in Nero Ultra Edition 6.6. Here's what you'll get with Nero Ultra Edition 6.6.
Nero Burning ROM - CD/DVD burning software.
Nero Express - CD/DVD burning software for those who want a simpler interface.
NeroVision Express - VCD/SVCD/DVD authoring application.
Nero BackItUp - Backup application.
Nero Cover Designer - Application to design covers for CDs and DVDs.
Nero Wave Editor - Audio editing application.
Nero SoundTrax - Create music CD mixes.
Nero ShowTime - DVD video player for your computer.
Nero MediaHome - Share and stream your multimedia files.
Nero Recode - Recode non-copy protected DVDs.
NeroMIX - Play, burn, and copy your CDs.
Nero Photosnap - Image editing application.
Nero Photosnap Viewer - Image viewing application.
Nero ImageDrive - Application that allows for mounting of drive images.
Nero MediaPlayer - Media player, converter, and ripper. Supports almost every file format.

That's right. Sixteen applications in one package. Ahead Software markets Nero Ultra Edition 6.6 as an "all-in-one digital media solution." They've certainly done a good job of including applications to cover everything although some of them are a bit on the low end. Still, all of this for $80 is one heck of a bargain, and Nero Burning ROM is hands-down better than any other burning software out there.

Ahead Software has included a utility called Nero StartSmart (see figure 1) that makes it easy to locate the application you need and launch it.

StartSmart not only makes it easier to access Nero applications, but it also makes it easy to make sure that they're all up to date using the Product Center shown in figure 2. The Product Center puts all of your serial numbers and product information in one convenient place. It also allows you to configure update checks or check for updates manually.
