Editing in Camtasia Studio 5 is improved over previous
versions in a couple of ways. Camtasia 5 continues the
improvements seen in version 4 in the area of editing
stability. We spent many hours working with different
scenarios in Camtasia 5, and we never once encountered any
problems. If you do encounter a problem, however, Camtasia's
new auto-save feature will protect you from having to redo
your edits. Camtasia Studio recordings are edited at 30 frames
per second. This makes the editing process much more precise.

Producing videos is more straight-forward in Camtasia 5.
Settings are configured based on the targeted platform if you
choose, but you can also configure the settings yourself.
Previews are fast and accurate at any point along the way so
you'll always be able to see exactly what the final outcome
will be using your current settings. Selecting a production
preset will automatically choose many settings for you, but
you can override these if you choose.

If you are producing a video comprised of several
recordings, Camtasia's ExpressShow feature will compile all of
them into a single video along with a table of contents for
easy navigation. The results are professional and quite
impressive.
If you're an owner of any previous version of Camtasia, you
would be crazy not to upgrade to version 5! TechSmith could
have gone the route of many other software companies by adding
bloat to a great application. Instead, they kept the features
that have always made Camtasia great and added a slew of new
features that make it even better than ever before. If you've
never used Camtasia and you have a need to present screen
presentations, you owe it to yourself to download the demo and
try it. Once you do, you'll be convinced that no other
application comes close to the feature-set and quality that
Camtasia produces. There simply is no equal, and we couldn't
be more confident in highly recommending Camtasia Studio 5 to
anyone.
