Acronis Disk Director Suite 9.0
Acronis Disk Director Suite (see figure 4) is a full-featured, disk partition manager. Many folks are familiar with Partition Magic and almost as many are utterly frustrated by it. Acronis Disk Director Suite is like Partition Magic only in function. Unlike its competitors, Acronis Disk Director Suite is able to reliably create, resize, delete, and arrange disk partitions without any hiccups at all.

Acronis Disk Director Suite offers two interfaces; simple and advanced. The advanced interface is shown in figure 4, but "advanced" in this case does not mean complicated. Acronis Disk Director Suite is so intuitive and easy to use that managing partitions is a snap even when using the advanced interface. In many cases Acronis Disk Director Suite can even resize partitions without rebooting!

Acronis Disk Director Suite is not just a partitioning application. It can also recover data on deleted partitions, copy partitions, password protect partitions, and hide and unhide partitions. As if that weren't enough, you can also create bootable media (in case your partition becomes damaged) and the OS Selector module allows you to run multiple operating systems on one computer with a powerful boot manager.
In addition to tools to manipulate partitions, Acronis Disk Director Suite gives you a robust toolset for disk examination. The Disk Properties dialog (see figure 5) gives you disk information at a glance. If you're a real techno-geek, you also have the ability to directly edit the disk as shown in figure 6. (I wouldn't mess with this unless you know what you're doing!)

Acronis Disk Director Suite can work with multiple file systems and it can format or convert your partitions as you see fit. This is truly an application that gives you full control over your hard disks in every conceivable way.
